Variabel shelves system

Apr 30 2013, 12:30 pm 0 Marco Russo

As I anticipated in my previous post dedicated to Halmpall stools, we go back to the Milan Design Week among the ranks of “Goats on Furniture” to introduce Variabel, the shelving system created by Swedish designer Björn Ekblom. A solution in constant motion, a functional piece of furniture with clean lines consisting of a vertical wooden stalk and a number of satellites to carry objects. A silhouette reminiscent of a stylized tree composed of adjustable elements fixed to it via a pressure system specially designed to be easily usable, according to need, even with one hand. Circular shelves and trays to raise, lower and rotate in search of the most pleasant aesthetic result of the proper position in order to fully meet the user’s needs.
