The two posts that I will introduce today will be focused on the exhibition space “
Goats on Furniture” seen at Superstudio Più in Zona Tortona during the
Milan Design Week. A university project which brings together the works and creations of 10 students from Wood Oriented Furniture Design of HDK Steneby in Sweden. Objects and pieces of furniture that have as their common focus to help a small local goat farm business, supporting it through a social and sustainable design. The first solution that I show is created by Swedish designer
Juan Cappa and sees the use of a material ubiquitous in every barn, the straw, transforming it from a bedding for the cattle to a comfortable design seat. Stools with evocative shapes, consisting of a simple, essential, colorful and lively metal structure, which gathers and fixes the straw to get flexible and resistant seatings, available in two sizes, small or large, the latter to be used as a chair with multiple seats or as table characterized by a large circular surface.
