Today I show you ORI, a line of furniture made entirely of cardboard and created by American designer
James Slack. A stool and a table which, as the name suggests, take their inspiration from the Japanese art of origami. Economic solutions with an elegant and essential design, created through a process of study and development that has seen the application of the ancient folding technique to furnishings, experiments that led to the characteristic twisted shape, offering rigidity and compactness, the ideal shape able to minimize the use of the material, allowing to reduce the production costs of each unit, which can be realized with a cost of less than 10 Dollars, and at the same time maximize the stability and strength of the structure, which can support more than 90 kilograms. The images that you find in the gallery were taken by Noah Posner and Basheer Tome.
