Ambrym spring/summer 2013

Apr 02 2013, 10:30 am 0 Monica Bogliolo

I like to talk about collections with spectacular pieces, real wearable sculptures, clothes that smell like haute couture. Sometimes, however, I’m attracted by simplicity, the linear poetry of a garment meant to be worn and lived, rather than placed in a showroom to be admired. “Insulaires”, the spring/summer 2013 collection by the brand Ambrym, is adding a funky and funny touch to the universe of fashion who “likes to take itself seriously”. Oversize clothing, prints, colors, loose knits, all characterized by a healthy dose of irony and a decidedly naive look. Adorable!
