Shengwei Wang: A bird without leg

Shengwei Wang draws her inspiration from the strong and passionate personality of a great painter, Frida Kalho. For the spring-summer collection 2013 “A bird without leg”, presented at White Milano, sculptural forms and delicate yarns mixed with metal inserts. Belled sleeves looking like wings and organza inserts that seem ethereal feathers, all in a range of soft shades, in the tones of gray, white, black. Specialized in knitwear, Shengwei Wang graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2011. With these wonderful clothes, with a romantic and dreamy taste, we seem to spread our wings in an infinite flight, just like her, Frida Kalho.
