Strong colors, sinuous shapes, elegance and lightness. These are the features of the new collection of hats created by
Francesco Ballestrazzi that I had the opportunity to see at
White Milano. The collection is called the Amazone, clearly inspired by the novel written by the French contemporary writer Maxence Fermine, which bears the same name. The book tells the story of a pianist who ventures into the mysterious Amazon rainforest. From this trip on an imaginary raft that silently runs through the Amazon River, Francesco Ballestrazzi free his imagination, creating twenty hats that give off the many faceted aspects of nature, from the more unexpected to the more delicate ones. Each hat has its own history and lives its own world, but bound together by an imaginary line. Twenty little worlds, each head with his own.
