Martha Davis sculpture shoes

Martha Davis has always had a passion for design, at least since 1986, the year she graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. But it was after a trip to Italy to discover footwear craft that she began to create shoes, and she decided to found her namesake brand in 2008. Martha imagines the shoe as a small architectural product, balancing the need for comfort and safety with the search for new shapes and materials. The result are real works of art, wearable sculptures, which focus attention on heels and wedges with a rough processing which leaves visible the natural grains and knots of wood. On “The workshop residence” you can see and buy some of her amazing models.
