An ode to the pure minimalism and the typical shapes of the Asian imaginary in the spring/summer 2013 collection by designer
ChoonMoo Park. Forefront of the Korean and Asian fashion industry, active in her home country since 1988, ChoonMoo makes her appearance on the New York catwalks for the first time in 2010, hailed as one of the most influential designers of the year. The spring season features a series of garments with bold silhouettes, where white is the leading color, accompanied and enhanced by touches of red, electric blue and black. The use of materials creates a materic contrast and an interesting game of volumes between the stiffness and heaviness of leather and the lightness of the fabric, which adapts to the shapes and movements of the body.
