Today for the Friday column dedicated to lighting design we will show you “One piece of lamp”, the hanging lamp created by Korean designer Kiseung Lee and presented by the Finnish studio
Inbetween at Tent London during the
London Design Festival. A structure formed by a single panel, which can be made of wood, PVC, PET or carbon paper, that transfoms through a process of sustainable production. Uniform cuts spaced with a precise interval create a three-dimensional extensible pattern that cross the surface, characterizing it and conferring new properties, able to solve the problems of fragility and limitations that it entails. Flexible materials, together with the assembly of a different shade module (the internal element that gives the basic shape of the lampshade), allow the change of shape and space, giving rise to many solutions, unique pieces with minimalist design that fit the various requirements of space and furnishing style.
