Ombradifoglia spring/summer 2013

I sometimes talk about the same brand twice, it happens when the collections are well worth, or when the project itself deserves attention. More than a year ago, in this post, I introduced the work of Elena Pignata, who is from my city and is my age, and who strangely I didn’t know (and I still don’t, but I hope I soon will). But, it’s a small town, people talk, and last week I get a message from a friend on Facebook: “Do you know Ombradifoglia? She created the wedding gown for a friend of mine and has now presented a new and beautiful collection”. Thus, after some time, I reopened that website. I find Petunia, the new spring/summer 2013, which is really beautiful, I discovered how much the designer has grown, both in the construction of clothes and in the care to create a fascinating lookbook, albeit with a few poor elements (the pieces of genius are the woods used as shoes). A collection that denotes maturity, where the minimal and deconstructed silhouettes become bolder, and colors take the place of black.
