Solid Spin lamps

Dec 14 2012, 8:30 am 0 Marco Russo

Today, for the usual Friday column dedicated to lighting design, we show you the collection of lamps created by designer of Estonian origins Johanna Tammsalu. “Solid Spin”, pendant lamps born from a series of photographic experiments on shapes, made using everyday items, from shoes to sunglasses, from books to mugs, from silverware to remote controls and so on, with all the elements that are commonly found in every home. Objects grouped by type, stacked and spinned around, to give rise to incredible solid shapes, as unique as the three extraordinary prototypes born following the silhouette generated by the rotations, and realized by the Italian ceramic laboratory 3B Lab Studio. Solutions with great aesthetic appeal and potentially infinite combinations.
