The importance of details in an outfit brings us to a search of the exclusive accessory, the custom-made piece, and to a rediscovery of handmade, that from an almost negative meaning is now representing an added value for products. Eyeglasses are one of the accessories that best fit to this type of elaborations: in recent years there has been a constant born of handcrafted lines, made with different materials (wood and all) and with the inclusion of custom details (consider, for example, the trend of the frames with the insertion of rhinestones and sequins). The creatives of the French studio
Hurlu Design created Weaview, a simple pair of glasses made of cellulose propionate, a lightweight and flexible material, with a feature that allows a high degree of customization. A DIY frame, which presents a series of small holes that create a grid to be filled with colored threads using a simple needle, just like an embroidery. A single pair that can take always new details and colors, depending on our creativity and our imagination.
