The project “Kartell loves Milano” was born during Salone del Mobile 2011, when Kartell in its flagship store in Milan introduced a collection of iconic pieces created by the brand over the years (from the Louis Ghost and La Marie chairs, the Bubble Club sofa, the library Bookworm, the Gnomes …) that have been revisited by characters who have a close relationship with the city of Milan. The result of this collaboration are 45 unique pieces that represent a sort of homage to the city, sen and filtered by the creativity of 45 persons who reside or work here. On 25 October 2011, the entire collection will be exhibited in the space of the Rotonda della Besana, from 10 to 18:30. At 19.30 Sotheby’s will sell them by auction, and all proceeds from the sale will go to the Umberto Veronesi Foundation, (founded in 2003 to support scientific research), for providing a research scholarship. “The beautiful and the good of Milan blend well in an event that wants to stage the enormous wealth of creativity that permeates the city, along with his generous heart, and wants to be a love message to Milan”. It’s possible to bid via the form on the website, that we invite you to see for more information about the event.
