A designer who challenges the concept of jewel, wearability and body adornment. Cheryl Eve Acosta was born in Puerto Rico before moving to the United States to pursue her artistic inclinations. She also creates clothes, but what I want to focus on are her beautiful jewels: a hybrid of plant and animal forms, which seem to be part of the person who wears them, almost an appendage of the body. In particular, Cheryl Eve overturns an accessory, brooch, always used to fix or adorn clothes, which she transforms into an object that adorns the bare skin, the result of experiments with the shadows of branches and plants projected on the body.
