Jolie Su fall/winter 2013

The fall/winter 2013 collection “Sans Culottes” by the brand Jolie Su of Polish designer Alexandra Sulzynska presents contemporary silhouettes, almost futuristic, even if the inspiration comes from the past, in particular from the French Revolution. A series of symbolic elements refer to this particular historical period, as the layers that represent hypocrisy, the transparent organza means fragility, embellishments on the tissues as morality, while the geometry of the shapes is a reminder of the French flag. The end result, unexpectedly, looks rather at the future, a series of minimal, structured and sculptural garments that mix materials and processes to obtain rigid structures, modern armors that wrap around the bodies of these amazons of the revolution.
