O Range: green furniture

Flexible and essential structures characterize the family “O Range”, the furnishing solutions created by British designer David Colwell and presented at 100% Design during the London Design Festival 2012. X and A are, in order, a table and a chair that explore new forms, highlighting the imaginative cuts and lines, creative textures that born through the union of unique techniques and traditional crafts. Pieces of furniture composed of wooden elements, bent and processed with steam and joined together by tubolar rivets, a constructive system specially designed to confer a greater resistance and a stronger joint between the parts. Solutions designed to have minimal environmental impact, through a careful choice of production techniques and materials coming strictly from local crops.
