A passion for robots that comes from far in time, between the mid and the late 60s when the first science fiction television series like “Lost in Space” began to be broadcasted. Since then, the Spanish Javier Arcos Pitarque, that in the everyday life is a creative director for an advertising agency, began to see robots and robot parts everywhere, in every object. Each robot created by Javier is unique, amazing sculptures result of hours of work, creativity, patience, and research for materials. Original antiques recovered from flea markets, garage and cellars, vintage items such as boxes and tin cans, vintage radios, televisions, cameras, electric shavers, lamps, telephones, car parts, valves, pipes and electrical components of any kind, arendecontextualized, disassembled and put together with craftsmanship skills to give life to his creatures, awesome robots of every shape and size made entirely by hand. From the artist’s portfolio, we selected for you twelve pieces that will leave you speechless.
