Martina Spetlova spring/summer 2013

I had already talked about her here, when I met her at White Milano. The work of Martina Spetlova fascinated me, and after presenting her fall/winter 2012, now that spring/summer 2013 has finally been officially presented, I can talk about the garments I’ve seen and I was enchanted by on that occasion. The characterizing element of the collection is, once again, the processing of the materials, which in this case is developed on two levels. On the one hand we have the lighter garments, dresses, pants and blouses with a pleating which acts both as a decorative and structural element, to give volume to the pieces, with sculptural shapes reminiscent of Ionic capitals. On the other hand there are the leather jackets and shorts, made with a weave of colors with a rendering similar to wicker baskets. A series of garments that once again confirm the virtuosity and the great talent of the designer.
