The lamp we show today for the Friday column dedicated to lighting design is Kaji (Korean for “branch”), a fascinating piece of design created by Minneapolis based designer Peter Yong Ra. A solution inspired by the idea and the belief that design is influenced and cultivated by nature, a table lamp consisting of a basic structure made of teak wood and steel. A stick that seems to hold up a light bulb at the head of an electric cable, creating a unique minimal sculpture, an light exaltation of the nature and progress with ease and naturalness.
