Carpenter desk

Nov 21 2013, 12:30 pm 0 Marco Russo

The project I am presenting today is Carpenter, the desk created by Swedish designer Pontus Bahrtine. A piece of furniture that highlights a common object in the world of woodworking and craft, an item that lacks of appeal, which is frequently used but never exploited, the wedge. A simple design solution consisting of a few simple elements in wood, characterized by the use of wedges, which from temporary method of union become a solid mounting system, clearly visible as a decorative detail that enhances the structure and makes it unique. A table with a playful line with which to interact and to customize as needed.

Designer: Pontus Bahrtine
