The Iteration collection

Lisa Shahno is a Russian fashion designer, who loves to experiment with clothes and geometry. Her use of the stitching is quite unusual, totally different from what we usually see in the fashion world, and her most recent collection, The Iteration, is the proof. Each piece is based on figures of plane geometry, such as squares and triangles, which combined together create stunning three-dimensional wearable sculptures. The collection is based on fractal cosmology, a geometric shape that can be divided into several parts, giving rise to countless smaller parts, but equal to the whole. Applying this theory to her clothes, Lisa creates seams and folds forming triangles inscribed in squares, capable of giving life to a simple piece of cloth.
