Proudrace fall/winter 2012

There are brands that, season after season, are always a certainty. Designers who constantly submit us their work, and that we alway talk about with renewed pleasure. This happens with Proudrace, the Philippine brand which we have already written on two other occasions, here and here. The collection that we introduce today is fall/winter 2012 2013, called “Dark Waves”. Once again, the inspiration comes from street culture, in particular the world of hip hop and thugs, while the silhouettes of the clothes are inspired by wetsuits and clothing used by surfers. The two designers have been attracted by a mysterious and charismatic animal, the shark, which is the subject of the graphics imprinted on some garments. The usual all black colour palette gives way to some pale shots of color, while remaining faithful to the minimalist style that characterizes the label. The materials range from acrylic to cotton, with leather and nubuck details. After the photogallery you also find the video presentation of the collection.
