I always love it when an artist takes something old and makes it new again, like these whimsical mixed media collages by Chilean artist Jose Romussi. The colorful embroidery on vintage black and white pictures is fabulous. His delicately hand sewn lines make the images feel lush, and at the same time adds a wonderful strangeness that could only be realized through the artist’s careful manipulation.
