Game Over by Henry Hargreaves

Game Over: a series of nine works of art created by the eclectic and talented New Zealand artist and photographer Henry Hargreaves. Some of the childhood icons for generations of children, table games like Rubik’s Cube, the Battleship, Guess Who, Mr. Potato Head and other, objects transformed into pieces of art, revised and purified from every color reference and each feature that made them famous, stripped from the original colors and all gaming options. Works born from the search for the unusual and the eccentric, from the artist’s desire to illuminate, highlight and show to the world the beauty of the sculptural shapes, separating the object from the original meaning and every memory that can evoke.
