Accumulation cabinet

Oct 05 2012, 10:30 am 0 Marco Russo

A wooden cabinet created by Korean designer Xerock Kim and presented in the KoreaDesign pavilion at 100%Design during the London Design Festival. A piece of furniture created to express the diversity of culture and individuals, life and the complexity with which it’s entangled in modern society. A reinterpretation of the technique and the material, to find the point of convergence between tradition and modernity. A solution characterized by the external cladding, a dress made entirely from the bark of the trees that from waste, following Koreans traditional processing methods, become valuable natural “fabric” with indigo shades.
