Kron by Kronkron spring/summer 2012

Over the years my passion for fashion has changed. It some way evolved from an initial refuse, due to the fact that as a teenager for me, follow the fashion had the same meaning as conforming to the mass (a totally wrong thought), to the total love for beauty that inspires me every day to share my findings on these virtual pages. I sometimes run into collections that are simply beautiful, as a work of art, a song or a photograph could be, even knowing I’ll never wear something like that. That’s what happened with the Icelandic brand “Kron by Kronkron”, created by designers Hugrún Árnadóttir and Magni Þorsteinsson. Maybe I won’t ever wear floral tunics with pastel diamond patterned stockings, but all these different elements together are so harmonious that it seemed natural to combine patterns and colors at the antipodes. The spring/summer 2012 collection is a blast: of colors, of patterns, of shapes … Inspired by butterflies, flowers and summer, these pieces carry with them a unique light and lightness.
