Today I show you “Elderlies”, the series created by the artist, Belgian-born currently based in Amsterdam, Adele Renault. A small collection of four beautiful oil on canvas works, realistic paintings where old people are the protagonists. Fascinating faces captured in moments of everyday life, extracted from their context and portraited in almost poetic poses. White hair and faces furrowed by deep wrinkles, create expressions full of stories and meaning, faces that fade into the light in a natural fusion with the passage of time, in balance between memories and life.
