Yesterday ended the ninth edition of Paratissima, and like last year we spent the day in Turin at the Ex-Moi among the works of local artists more or less known. This year the (good) news were the pavilions dedicated to design and fashion, this is where I met
Eleny Neculai, creative based in Turin, which ranges easily between graphic, web design, exhibition settings and fashion. Leitmotif of her work is the rigor, and the primary inspiration for the Metamorphosis project, a series of drawings and an associated collection of bags, is the aesthetics of cast-iron architecture. The whole collection in fact forms the silhouette of the building symbol of this architectural style: the Eiffel Tower. Each section of the monument is processed individually to become a geometric pattern that decorates the 5 different accessories that make a sort of disrupted puzzle. Bags, shoppers and purses handcrafted in leather, minimal objects with a discreet charm that tell a story.
