Morgan Carper, a designer based in Brooklyn, graduated in textile design and began her journey in fashion, not only metaphorically, but a real journey that led her in Asia, where she got to know talented textile artisans forced to leave the art learned through generations, to work in large factories for the mass market. There, Morgan decided to create her own line and to commission to these artisans, and the others she met during her frequent travels, the creation of fabrics, embroideries and prints to incorporate to her collections. What is clear from the fall/winter 2012 is the right mix of ethnic style patterns with contemporary models. The result is captivating, full of personality and at the same time easy to wear. In the photogallery some of my favorite pieces, outerwear on all.
