We can’t say about her that she’s exactly an emerging talent, not after having seen her collection at Paris Fashion Week, perhaps the most coveted by every designer, in March 2011. In the same year she began a collaboration with Europe’s, or maybe the world’s, most famous department store: Harrods. I’m talking about the Turkish designer Arzu Kaprol, perhaps a name unknown to most of you, but surely a raising star of the fashion world, which begins to create for the brand that bears her name in 1995. The summer 2012 pre-collection is made up of minimalistic pieces, where attention is captured by a single element at a time: for some is the sculptural shape, for others the texture or the use of the fabric, an unexpected detail of the neckline, a transparency, a back zipper. Many short dresses, playing with very few colors: white, gray and black. A whispered and understated femininity, which can satisfy the tastes of women of different ages.
