If you still haven’t heard about Rodrigo Almeida, be sure you will start to notice his name popping up more and more often. Some may say he is following the steps of the Campana brothers, and I do have to agree. First of all, Rodrigo is Brazilian, and he is making his way towards the european art/design market. Secondly, he plays with materials and puts together pieces that are truly poetic, and yet functional. Take this chair for instance, Sela. At a first glance, you don’t know what is made from, if it’s soft or hard. It’s just so tactile! The leather strips become a strong structure, and the piece itself is very unique and full of character.
