Chad Wys is a fascinating artist. His works, at first glance, seem a revisit of some classical works more or less famous; looking better then, we realize that they are curious, irreverent, no doubt interesting. Certainly not impressed by his skill in performance or for the perfection in creation: his works on the contrary must be observed and understood. Falls into that circle of artists that might easily fall into the commonplace, in something already seen, in the risk of making his works look like something that already exists, and his talent lies in departing from all these negative impressions. At a closer look, it turns out the true meaning of his work: a subtle critique of modern society, use of color (or lack of color) reasoned and provocative.
