Hanging On by Ensaemble

An amazing label, whose creations struck me at first glance. I’m talking about Ensaemble, based in Helsinki, Finland, founded in 2011 by designers Alisa Narvanen and Elina Peltonen. The “Hanging On” collection I’m introducing today is made up of clothes with an androgynous mood, with tailoring cuts stolen from the male wardrobe, such as suits, vests and maxi coats. A collection that tells the story of a woman sure of herself and her femininity, able to reveal her sensuality through the oversized and draped garments. Pieces which are inspired by the minimalist Japanese silhouette, reworked with Northern influences to create an original and unmistakable style.
