AVA Catherside fall/winter 2012

AVA Catherside is the name that the two designers Anna Gloria Flores and Veronica Todisco give to their ready to wear line. The two, both Italian and graduated in Milan, meet, ironically, in London and decided within a year to create their own brand, which debuted in 2011 with the collection A3. They produce clothing for both men and women, experimenting with different materials, which from time to time represent the focal point of the collection. For the winter 12-13 the tissue used is Italian virgin wool, with particular attention to the Casentino wool, a traditional processing which makes the fabric waterproof and looking rough and hairy. The clothes are a celebration of minimalism: structured and sculpted garments in solid black, generously oversize shapes and vertical incisions that form geometric openings characterize the entire collection, both for men and women.
