Threatening Postures

An experiment that transcends the boundaries of fashion, stepping into art and design. Rachel Louise Penn presents “Threatening Postures” as a final degree project, choosing the crochet technique and incorporating materials with different textures but still fragile, such as wood or ceramic. A collection of eccentric clothing and jewelry, unique handmade pieces, inspired by nature and the ways animals in particular defend themselves from possible dangers, using menacing poses and bright colors. A reflection on the fragility of the human body and how we tend to protect ourselves by means of our clothes.
