Morphe fall/winter 2013

Sep 12 2013, 8:30 am 0 Monica Bogliolo

Shenali Sema takes a first degree in textile design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad in 2009, and second one in fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London in 2011. The fall/winter 2013 collection by Morphe, the brand she founded, takes inspiration by the oriental culture and tries to translate the Japanese art of packaging into spectacular garments. A creative process that borns from experiments in which the designer wraps the body with yards of fabric, and the end result is a series of clothes that can be worn in different ways. A collection that blends tradition and modernity, in which the Japanese influence is evident in the constant references to the kimono, from the silhouette of the clothing, to the embroideries, to the use of colors.
