The wool butchery

The wool butchery

At the base of this funny and unusual work there is actually a deep reflection.
French designer/artist Clëmence Joly analyzed the similarities between the industry of fashion and that of meat, and concluded that both generate mass consumer goods that are in some way essential in our everyday life (meat feeds us, fashion dresses us). The union of these two worlds has created “The wool Butchery”: a special place where hams, sausages and roast chicken are knitted by the artist himself. Among his original works are also other food products, as well as a soft can of the drink symbol of consumerism: the coca-cola.
