Yesterday ended the ninth edition of Paratissima, and like last year we spent the day in Turin at the Ex-Moi among the works of local artists more or less known. This year the (good) news were the pavilions dedicated to design and fashion, this is where I met Eleny Neculai
, creative based in Turin, which ranges easily between graphic, web design, exhibition settings and fashion. Leitmotif of her work is the rigor, and the primary inspiration for the Metamorphosis project, a series of drawings and an associated collection of bags, is the aesthetics of cast-iron architecture. The whole collection in fact forms the silhouette of the building symbol of this architectural style: the Eiffel Tower. Each section of the monument is processed individually to become a geometric pattern that decorates the 5 different accessories that make a sort of disrupted puzzle. Bags, shoppers and purses handcrafted in leather, minimal objects with a discreet charm that tell a story.
