Transforming the material, deforming furniture surfaces as needed to resolve long-standing problems of space: with this goal comes the line “Marsúpio”, the flexible and functional pieces of furniture created by Portuguese designer Pedro Agapito Pedroso. Mesa and Aparador, respectively, a coffee table with storage and a cupboard, elements with essential and simple design, seemingly characterized by a common structural rigidity, a perception disrupted and redefined at touch, when the elasticity and strength of Lycra® are revealed. Furniture provided with walls and flexible containers that are deformed by modifying their contenitive abilities, redesigning their appearance according to the objects they guard inside them.
