Haptic chair

Jul 16 2013, 8:30 am 0 Marco Russo

The Haptic chair created by Danish designer Trine Kjaer is the result of a process of study, research and experiments on tactile surfaces found in nature. An elegant structure realized in oak wood with a foam padding that make it comfortable, a flowing silhouette that appears to have undergo a natural smoothing, a soft and delicate erosion like the effect of time and the flow of water. A project that not only offers a fascinating visual impact, but through the union of inlays, also creates handcrafted details and a distinctive wire surrounding the backrest and characterizing the seat. Different tactile areas, several points of interest that can attract the user, activate and stimulate the body’s sensitivity donating incredible feelings of well-being and relax. The images that you find in the gallery are made by Morten Kjaer.
