The Finnish designer based in Helsinki, Satu Maaranen
, newly graduated from Aalto University, presents Garment in Landscape. At first glance the collection reminded me of the typical Mexican costumes (I must have been mislead from hats and the big shapes), instead, the inspiration comes from the landscapes, the many lakes and the colors of the country of origin of the designer. A series of garments with a haute couture taste, made of decided silhouette, real sculptures to wear characterized by surprising elements, such as the large knots that create the structure of the garments, or the linear cuts of the sleeves. Photographs taken by Chris Vidal Tenomaa.
