Broken Heroes

Today we present a series of six portraits created by the Danish artist Morten Vilhelm Fellbo. A collection of paintings in acrylic on wood, spot colors from the vibrant shades that refer to Pop Art, with the addition of characterizing strokes in opposition, vertical or horizontal, powerful and full signs, able to define and highlight the artist’s personal style. Portraits that show us a new side of the classic and iconic superheroes, probably the more hidden side, dark and dramatic, that of pain. “Broken” idols, no longer seen as omnipotence, perfect and indestructible men, but as ordinary human beings with their flaws and their weaknesses, hysterical heroes, defeated, wounded and devoured by sorrow.
