Spring/summer 2014 collection by designer Asger Juel Larsen
is blatantly unisex, including pieces for both men and women, but it’s the man part that most caught my attention. A balanced mix of tailoring and streetwear, that share the passion for research. Research for materials, ranging from net fabrics to those with metallic effect, and graphic research in the awesome all-over prints that seem to grow on the garments like a baroque forest. The combination of different proportions, such as short trousers with long tops, makes a further point of interest and gives movement to the maximal silhouettes. Overall, a collection with strong visual impact, with unusual shapes and an androgynous mood, accompanied by elements that source from the 90′s street culture.
