Apple Tarte Tatin

Oct 11 2013, 12:30 pm 0 Monica Bogliolo

Yesterday we made a family night out to celebrate an important anniversary: it was my grandmother 87th birthday (and she still looks like a girl)! An exquisite meal, ended with a great dessert. Tarte Tatin is a traditional French cake, famous for its “reversed” look: in fact, apples are caramelized before placing the pastry, base for the dessert. Needless to say, the first recipe I decided to search it was this one, which I found on “Taste Food Blog“. Better served hot, topped with a scoop of ice cream, that will melt slightly to create a nice contrast between hot and cold.
