United By Blue bike bags

Bike. A clean and alternative way to move, which retains a romantic taste that binds us to the past. Clumsily, I’m doing my experiments on two wheels, as soon as I learn to get on and off like a lady and dodge the traffic with ease, I’ll be ready. There is only one little-big problem, definitely felt more by women than by men: women are known to bring with them bags full of (useless) things and on bike is quite an issue. I almost always carry with me my netbook or tablet (in addition to those useless things), and the risk is to loose balance, or make my bag slip from my shoulder. Baskets instead, even if aesthetically pleasing, are far too small to carry everything you need to spend a whole day out. “United by Blue“, an American company that produces t-shirts, jewelry and handbags with the use of organic and eco-friendly materials, comes to our aid. Based on their experience, they created a line of bike bags, which, thanks to leather strips, can be attached to the bike’s frame. The bags, made of organic canvas with leather details, are available in three different models and sizes: a small one, to hold your phone and other small items, a more rigid one to attach to the handlebars, for the most fragile objects, as netbooks and tablets, and a third one to attach to the back tire fender. Not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, for now they were created just in form of prototypes, which, with a little help, will be available to purchase in early 2013.
