Simon Ekrelius spring/summer 2013

We introduce Apart, the spring/summer 2013 collection by designer Simon Ekrelius, originally from Sweden and now based in London. The hallmarks of his creations are asymmetries, sculptural shapes and the bold use of colors, details which are also found in this collection. Tailoring cuts taking a completely different connotation thanks to the staggered buttons of jackets and shirts and the exaggerated volumes of the shoulders. The dominant colors are white and black, “soiled” by the flashes of yellow of the abstract patterns and broken by deliberately inaccurate lines. The pics of the lookbook were taken by Annika Lundvall.
