Say My Name fall/winter 2012

The Portuguese designer Catarina Sequeira creates her brand “Say My Name” in 2007 and she participates for the first time at Lisbon Fashion week with Spring/Summer 2012 fashion show, after years of activity between Europe and Asia. The new Fall/Winter 2012, also presented at Lisbon Fashion Week | ModaLisboa, comes to life around the figure of the Samurai, especially the classic armor, created by layers that were used as protection during battle. Lost their original function, these elements become purely decorative details, in an attempt to rework the Sode and Do, which originally protected shoulders and abdomen respectively, while the cuts and folds are inspired to the fit of the traditional Kimono. If the shapes take inspirations from the past, the use of material looks to the future, with 3D felted wool, nylon, knits with a furry effect and a jersey with copper surface treatment.
