Nikicio spring/summer 2012

Take the strongest colors and patterns of this season and create an ad hoc collection, which is still not obvious or trivial. The result can only be “run into flowers”, the spring/summer 2012 by the brand Nikicio, founded by the Indonesian designer Nina Karina Nikicio. Nina manages to create an homogeneous set of garments that, although winking the eye to the season trends, from floral to coral, are characterized by a simple, timeless style. Clean silhouettes, blazers, buttoned up shirts, almost androgynous pieces, that burst of femininity in bright colors and floral total look, certainly the first characteristic that catches the eye. One detail that I particularly like is the play of proportions: shirts and blazers are preferably accompanied by shorts, short sleeve is preferred with trousers, skirts and dresses are getting longer.
