Corey Corcoran, an American artist that I would call eccentric and original, because of his unusual works of art using mushrooms as a blank canvas to vent his creativity. “Ganoderma applanatum”, also known as Artist’s Conch, is the mushroom chosen by Corey Corcoran for the characteristic large and spacious shape (able to grow up to 60 cm long) and to its special surface that changes from light brown to dark at the touch or scratch. Shadows, lines and strokes capable of giving life to amazing drawings, the result of a patient and detailed engraving work.
