Minna Parikka fall/winter 2012

Today we introduce the fall/winter 2012-13 collection by Finnish designer Minna Parikka, recently rewarded Accessory Designer of the Year by Elle Finland. The collection, called “Utopia”, imagines the designer’s ideal world, where there is no austerity and self-expression is encouraged. The playful element characterizes each model, from the rabbit ears (my favorite), the Baroque shapes, the heart symbol, typical of Minna Parikka, to the “pouring” color. A fusion of materials, colors and patterns, a collection that recalls the surreal atmosphere of “Alice in Wonderland” for women who are not afraid to be bold with colors and shapes.
